North Pole expedition on skis
Crossing on skis of the last 100 km to the North Pole from a drifting base on the Arctic Ocean
This is an unique journey to the north tip of the planet that will allow an exceptional experience: to reach the Geographic North Pole, the only place on Earth where all directions are south.
Peary, Herbert, Uemura, and other mythical explorers have had to travel over 800 kilometers on sea ice before reaching the North Pole. What we propose is to travel on skis the last part of the journey that these illustrious predecessors have made. There we will discover the sense of progressing on a constantly moving ice pack surrounded by a multitude of pressure ridges and open water channels.

Our starting point will not be a motionless northern land, but the temporary station "Borneo" placed on an ice floe drifting in the middle of the Arctic Ocean at 89º North latitude. Our goal will not be an usual place, but the uninhabited Geographic North Pole, the point where all Earth meridians join.
