Trip to observe the Northern Lights in the Swedish Lapland
Our adventure in Lapland takes us to Abisko, a small town in the North of Sweden which is located under the aurora belt and close to the Arctic Circle, and because of its good weather, it is considered one of the best places in northern Scandinavia for watching the Northern Lights.
During our trip we will do activities some activities like ice fishing, a night snowshoe route to observe the northern lights and a tour by snowmobile through the snowy landscapes. Optionally, we can try ice climbing, dog sledding routes and visit an ice hotel.
In addition, we enjoy doing a photography course at the hands of an expert photographer to capture northern lights and visit the Aurora Sky Station, chosen by Lonely Planet as the best place in the world to watch the most impressive luminous phenomenon of nature.

Warm drinks are included.
- Aurora photo course. Our guide will make a presentation of the evening program and check of our photo equipment. SLR cameras, lenses and tripods especially designed for Aurora photographing will be available during the night. After that, we are ready to move into the Abisko valley to a nice photo spot and a Sámi tipi tent with a snow mobile (occasionally walking to an ice igloo) where we will shoot our first images. While waiting for the Aurora display, our guide will teach us how to best capture the midwinter, tipi tent or igloo on film. Learning the how and why of photography techniques will open up a whole new world and enable us to capture magnificent images we never thought possible.
